• Strategy Development & Creative Ideation: Develop creative ideas and produce social media content based on the target audience for the channel. Content strategy should follow an "always-on" approach, like a newsroom.
• Social Creative Content & Content Creation: Manage content plans according to key messages for artists and albums. Must have a strong understanding of how social media platforms work and function.
• Content Scheduling & Publishing: Plan and control the channel’s timeline, ensuring that all tasks on the checklist are completed for optimized performance when releasing music.
• Analytics & Reporting: Monitor and provide solutions for the channel’s performance, including subscriber growth, follower count, and engagement.
• Community Management: Engage with the audience through comments and conversations. Manage the community and fanbase to increase followers, subscribers, and engagement for both the channel and the artists.
• Production Team Collaboration: Oversee the visual design, video production, and filters to ensure alignment with the plan and meet deadlines.
• Team Development & Management: Lead, guide, and ensure high-quality teamwork. Strong people skills are necessary as you will work closely with artists, team members, and the record label to ensure the content’s effectiveness.
• Relationship Building & Growth Mindset: Foster positive relationships and adopt a growth mindset to develop and strengthen the community/fandom. Be proactive, quick to respond, trend-savvy, and able to solve problems swiftly.
• Must have confidence in decision-making, asking questions, and suggesting changes to adapt to the digital landscape.
Requirements & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, preferably with a background in a creative or digital agency, major media company, or social media-centric organization.
• Proven experience in creating and executing social media content strategies, with a strong portfolio of creative work.
• Experience in managing "always-on" content strategies and the ability to adapt quickly to trends and news cycles.
• In-depth understanding of social media platforms, their functions, algorithms, and best practices for content creation and engagement (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Twitter).
• Ability to translate data into actionable insights and strategies to enhance growth.
• Experience managing and engaging with online communities, including responding to comments, managing fan interactions, and growing fanbases or subscriber numbers.
• Proven ability to lead and manage a cross-functional team, including content creators, designers, and video production teams.
• Ability to make decisions confidently, resolve issues quickly, and adapt to changes in digital marketing trends and audience behavior.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while focusing on long-term growth goals.
